Mevagissey is one of the most enchanting villages in Cornwall and an idyll for artists and photographers.
Whether exploring the maze of narrow, cobbled streets or taking a stroll around the picturesque harbour with its mix of working boats and pleasure yachts, visitors will be impressed by the character and old world charm of this ancient fishing village.
Many of the restaurants and shops have been converted from old fish cellars, while the harbour remains a centre of the fishing community where old crafts and traditions are still practised daily.
Mevagissey is an ideal centre for touring Cornwall as it lies on the south coast about midway between Land's End and Plymouth.
For walkers, the Cornish coastal path runs through the village; for families, there are safe, sandy beaches just minutes away; for anglers, all types of fishing can be arranged including both coarse and sea; and for sports enthusiasts, there are opportunities for golf, water skiing, jet-skiing and windsurfing.
