Hollesley is a lovely village, which is based in a good location. It is 1 mile from the sea at Shingle Street, where there is amble opportunities to take long walks or to dobirdwatching or fishing.

The beach here has lovely view along the heritage coast towards Orford and Bawdsey Manor

There is opportunities to do hoseriding at the Poplar Par Equestrian Centre just outside the village, through the heaths and woodlands. There are also many footpaths for walkers. The heathland and woodland being a strones throw away.

Access to Snape with its Cocert Hall at Snape Malting and Aldeburgh for its literary and Music Connections with Benjamin Britten having resided in the town for many years is accesable too from Hollesley.

Hollesley is also famous or infamous for its prison at Hollesley Bay. It is also credited for breding Suffolk Punches.

These powerful horses were used to pull ploughs in olden days and are still a feature of agricultural shows throughout Suffolk and beyond.
