St Peters Church is positioned on cliffs overlooking Morecambe bay and is over a 1000 years old; built around 967!. The south west side of church is anglo saxon.

On hill above St Peters is the shell of St Patricks an Anglo Saxon church with stone coffins which still contain the remains of Viking buriels found around this charming village.

The oldest house was built back in 1600. It won the English Village competion a few years ago.

There is a grand Elizabethan mansion, converted into a pub. The ship hotel, is over 400 years old.

The Bay has great views of the Lake District mountains, Old Man Coniston, Hell Vellyn, Great Gable, to name a few.

There are two nice golf courses. Tennis is available at nearby Boltonly Sands, (only outdoor).

Just 5 miles from Historic Lancaster, Lancaster Castle , Home of the Pendle witch trials. Dungeons, guided tours. Charming Cathedral Church of St Marys, open to the public daily, which dates back to the 11th century.

In summer you can take guided Cross Bay walks from Hest Bank along a 7 mile treck to Grange.

Lancaster museum and Maritime museum are open. Plenty of charming walks.

Regular trains to Lakes and any where in England. Also has a regular bus service.
