Catch the Ferry from Fowey to Bodinnick 90p for foot passengers. Walk up the hill, past the Old Ferry Inn. The Inn does well priced bar meals as well as a restaurant.
Go on up the steep hill on past The Blue Cottage on your right, this wonderful cottage is for hire. Up dated but still has bags of character c1600. After about 50 yards or less take the foot path right at the sign post marked Hall Walk. Steep at times but well worth the views. It is apporximately 4 miles long as it up and down, in and around Pont Pill to get around to Polruan. This National trust walk ends up at Polruan village. Don't miss having a lunch in Crumpets. This wonderful tea rooms is found at the end of the walk as you come down the hill into Polruan. A great mug of tea, home-made cakes and delicous fresh crab are amongst the fine things served there at very reasonable prices.
After this refreshment you can wonder down to the habour where you can catch the ferr back over to Fowey. You may like to explore around Polruan before this and there are good views of the sea if you follow the path to the left as you come out of Crumpets.

Fowey is an ancient port which has been in use since pre-Roman times. It is situated on a beautiful part of the south Cornish coast about thirty miles southwest of Plymouth. The harbour is used by hundreds of sailing boats and some large shipping. The scenery around the area is fantastic with many quiet coves, superb coastal walks and beautiful views.
It is a great location for a holiday with lots to do and plenty of interesting shops, inns and restaurants. This is the best place to stay if you want to visit The Eden Project just five miles away. The Daphne du Maurier festival is held each May and the Regatta Week in August is very popular.
You can cross the harbour by ferry to nearby Polruan or take a longer trip to Mevagissey. Many visitors enjoy the freedom of not having to rely on their car as there is so much to do within walking distance. Boats can be hired and children can spend time exploring the beaches and fishing for crabs from the quay.
