Ballaugh is a small farming village, with one local shop that caters for most needs, a post office and one pub that serves food.
There is a beautifull long sandy beach, that has a gradual gradiant, so is great for kids.
Sunsets are spectacular and it is great for evening bar-b-ques. It has the famous Ballaugh Bridge on the TT course and there are several good vantage points to watch the races.
The Islands Wild life park is just a couple of miles outside the village, and a happy day can be spent exploring the wild life there.
The is a wild life and bird sanctuary set amid the wetlands of the plane, that is lovely to explore.
There are two beautiful old churches, that are still active today.
Ballaugh is a beautifull village that is like taking a step back in time to when life was run at a slower, gentler pace.
