Bedrooms & Sleeping
We have nine guest bedrooms at The Collingdale, six of which have stunning views over the harbour and Damien Hirst's statue Verity. and three rooms overlooking the front of the house and the wooded area beyond. All are beautifully furnished with deep comfortable mattresses for a good night's sleep, digital flat-screen TV, WiFi access in most rooms, plus a well-stocked beverage tray, mineral water, complimentary toiletries and big fluffy white towels.
Living & Facilities
The guest lounge provides a pleasant relaxed atmosphere to sit and read, play a board game, watch television or just sit and enjoy the lovely scenery.
Our award winning breakfast is served in the elegant dining room with its beautiful views. Start the day with our delicious breakfast which is freshly cooked to order using handmade sausages, thick cut bacon and free range eggs and a good choice of cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt, which are all locally sourced. There are plenty of vegetarian options or why not try the natural smoked haddock or kippers.

Location & Surroundings
Ideally situated directly on the South West coastal path, with miles of uninterrupted views across the harbour and magnificent cliff top scenery of Hillsborough Nature Reserve. Just a few minutes walk to the picturesque historic harbour with its excellent selection of restaurants, shops, cafes and galleries and the ferry to Lundy Island . The town centre, Landmark Theatre and famous Tunnels Beaches are also within easy walking distance.
Ilfracombe is an ideal base from which to explore the spectacular coastline and the delightful moorland reaches of Exmoor with its rolling hills and quaint villages; perfectly situated for walking the Tarka Trail and Heritage Coastal Path; or taking a trip to Lundy Island, a completely unspoilt nature reserve and marine conservation area.
To the east are the unique villages of Lynton and Lynmouth with it's cliff top railway, to the west the delights of Clovelly, Hartland and the market town of Barnstaple with its shops and the famous Pannier Market and Butchers Row is only twelve miles away.
Close by are the stunning Blue Flag beaches of Croyde Bay, Saunton Sands and Woolacombe. Not to mention Ilfracombe's own famous Tunnels Beaches, a network of hand carved tunnels leading to unique sheltered beaches and tidal victorian bathing pool.
You can also visit Ilfracombe Aquarium, its fascinating museum or the famous Chambercombe Manor, the most haunted house in Devon!! Chocoholics will love Walkers Chocolate Emporium on the High Street with its shop, museum and cafe.
