Details of bedrooms
We have 3 double ensuite rooms and 4 double/twin/family ensuite rooms. A couple of the bedrooms are on the ground floor and can accommodate upto 5, plus can be used as self catering. All the bedrooms have Freeview flatscreen TV, DVD/CD player, bathrobes, hairdryer, extensive beverage tray, bottled mineral water, sweets, toiletries and lots more. The ensuites have electric showers plus fresh towels, face cloths, shampoo/conditioner and shower gel.

Self Catering
We also have a one/two bedroom ground floor apartment, which can sleep 2/5 people. It can be self-catering or B&B accommodation. The 1st bedroom has a king size bed, and just off the bedroom is the bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. As a 2 bed apartment, there is another large bedroom with a king size bed and a single bed, plus a shower ensuite. All rooms have Freeview TV, DVD/CD player, bathrobes, hairdryer, big beverage tray, and lots more.

Living & Facilities 

Breakfast Room
We have a lovely large dining room for breakfast, and you are more than welcome to bring a takeaway in and eat at night.

Computer
We have free Wifi, and in the dining room there is a computer that is available for everyone.

The 'Snug'
There is a small guest lounge on the 1st floor, with super views over the town.

Parking and Garden
Outside there is off road parking, and you are welcome to use the garden. Smoking is outside, please; there are cigarette bins and umbrellas for those wet times!

Check in times
Parking is at the back of the house off Scrations Lane (there is a local map on the contact us page of our website www.penrosebb.co.uk) and we are around between 4pm and 9pm on day of arrival as we need time to clean the rooms and also have to do our errands during the day and have a bit of a life!

Location & Surroundings 

Lostwithiel
Lostwithiel is the antiques capital of Cornwall and has many pubs, restaurants, a river walk, church, museum, castle, teashops and many interesting and varied shops etc within a 10-minute walk of Penrose. Lostwithiel is just half an hour into Cornwall, but perfect for going all over Cornwall. We are 6 miles from Fowey & Par beaches and the Eden Project.

Local activities
There are lots of amenities close by, including a golf course, train station, outdoor activities by local arrangement, castle, coastal walks, cycling, gardens, fishing, sailing and of course The Eden Project. The local beach is a 10-minute drive away and the north west coast is only 40 minutes. Lostwithiel is well placed to explore the whole of Cornwall.

Directions & Getting Here 

Arriving By Car: From the A30, turn off for Bodmin, follow signs for Lostwithiel and you end up opposite the Fish & Chip shop. Turn right onto the main road and we are on your right. Go past house (sign on top of high wall) and turn right into Scrations Lane.

Arriving By Train: We are a 15 minute walk from the station, let us know the day before and we will come and pick you up.

Arriving By Bus/Coach: We are a 10 minute walk from the drop off point, let us know the day before and we will come and pick you up.

Nearest Airport: Land at Newquay, and we suggest you hire a car.

Tariff & Pricing 

Between £20 and £50 per person per night based on 2 people sharing. Children from £10. Dogs and pets are free.
Our refund policy is: Cancellations up to 7 days before the start of your holiday will receive a refund less an admin charge of £10. For cancellations less than 7 days, if we can re-let your room we will forward a refund, less the admin charge. We, therefore, recommend taking out holiday insurance.
