How www.GoCoastal.co.uk displays Resorts and Locations around the UK

First of all www.GoCoastal.co.uk is very different to many other so called accommodation directories. We did not want to be just another website displaying accommodation consisting cottages and bed & breakfast accommodation only, in a select few 'profitable' locations in the South West!

Right from the start the aim of www.GoCoastal.co.uk was to offer a huge selection of accommodation around the entire United Kingdom. We wanted to make it totally affordable to advertise, so everyone with accommodation will want to take advantage and add their property.

Likewise we wanted to make sure that the database was not exclusive to a few 'bigger' resorts leaving the rest unmentioned. At www.GoCoastal.co.uk the database was built to include every town, village and location where accommodation is available. We have initially listed as many locations from the coast, up to five miles inland. After all we are called Go Coastal!

In order to store accommodation in over 5,000 locations we have however had to split the accommodation locations around the coast of the UK & British Isles into smaller geographical areas we have called resorts. Each 'resort' is generally a principle, 'big' or well known town or village. There is currently over 1200 resorts spanning the entire coast of the UK & British Isles plus The Lake District, Ireland and much of Scotland.

Each resort incorporates surrounding towns and villages which we have called locations. So one resort will have at least one location associated with it, and as many as thirty. If you can not find a town or village listed within the resort listing then it will probably be listed as a location. Always check any resorts listed which lay close to the location you are looking for. To view all locations and resorts together use the 'A - Z Location Locator'. Every town, village and location on the database can be found by clicking it's first letter from the A - Z listing.

We have also categorised all towns, villages and locations by their modern county and historic county name. All counties can be viewed and when browsed all resorts are shown.

We are about to add resort guides to www.GoCoastal.co.uk. These will be linked from the main page and also from all accommodation listings. The resort guides will clearly show all towns, villages and locations along with all accommodation, services and facilities available. We will also be adding facilities to allow visitors the ability to add their own resort guides and information along with images!

I can not find a location which is located within 15 miles from the coast of the UK?

No problem. If you have checked the A - Z Location Locator and still no luck, just contact us stating the location you want added and why we should add it. Please make sure you tell us exactly where it is. If you want to add any further information on the location feel free to do so. We will always credit you if we add your information to the site.
